Job summary

LeanTaaS is hiring an Associate GTM Engineer to own and build the revenue layer. This software engineering role is embedded inside a revenue team; you'll write code, deploy services, and integrate systems, with mentorship provided.

You'll apply strong software fundamentals, modern tooling, and curiosity about how a business operates, delivering scalable pipelines and robust integrations in a healthcare-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 0-2 years of professional software experience.
• Working fluency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript—either is welcome, both is a plus
• Comfort with SQL and relational data models
• Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs, including authentication, pagination, and error handling
• Familiarity with version control and exposure to how code gets deployed and run in a real environment (containers, CI, logging, or monitoring). You don’t need production DevOps experience, but you do need to have seen how software gets from a laptop to somewhere it actually runs.
• Daily use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot). This is how we build—we expect it to be part of your normal workflow, not something you’ve only tried.
• Demonstrable interest in the commercial side of business—sales, revenue, pricing, growth.
• Genuine interest in healthcare operations. You don’t need a clinical or health-tech background, but we want people who care that the outcome of this work is our health system operating more efficiently.
• Excellent communication, written and verbal.
• In writing: Documentation, requirements, status updates, and clear explanations for people who don’t code.
• Out loud: Running working sessions with stakeholders, demoing what you built, surfacing real requirements, and pushing back respectfully when asked for the wrong thing.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale end-to-end data pipelines across analytics, legal, and commissions.
• Integrate CRM, billing, and finance systems using APIs, data pipelines, and reconciliation logic.
• Ship and operate internal applications by deploying containerized AWS services.
• Drive automation to remove recurring manual tasks like lead enrichment and data hygiene.
• Establish engineering standards including version control discipline, testing, error handling, and monitoring.
• Support commercial tools by maintaining handoffs between Sales, Implementation, Contracting, Legal, and Finance.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents in data pipelines and edge cases independently.
• Eliminate single points of failure with clear architecture docs and runbooks.
• Bridge business needs with engineering by translating requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
