Job summary

Granicus, a remote-first Govtech company, is seeking an Associate Account Executive to own a named set of accounts, build pipeline from the ground up, and close deals end to end. You will sit at the front line of our sales organization, learning from top-performing AEs and leaders, and helping government agencies modernize how they serve millions of people.

The Associate AE team is the primary pathway into AE roles, with strong mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of sales experience, preferably software/SaaS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Gong, and AI productivity tools.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience selling to government or public sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prospect your named accounts: research, map, and engage decision-makers across your book using signal-based plays and multi-channel outreach.
• Run and close higher-velocity deals from first conversation through discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation, and signature.
• Lead with value by understanding agency goals and linking them to Granicus solutions and measurable outcomes.
• Forecast with rigor by keeping Salesforce current and using Gong and AI tools to sharpen conversations.
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Customer Success, Solutions, and Marketing to build the path to AE roles.
