Job summary

SEH is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead accounting operations, drive timely financial reporting, and partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives. This remote role spans the US, enabling involvement in executive-level decision making and continuous process improvements.

The ideal candidate brings a CPA, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP and Excel skills, and experience guiding audits and treasury activities while mentoring accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• CPA certification preferred or active.
• Experience with annual financial statement audits.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Ability to lead accounting teams and mentor staff.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors to support audits.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
• Manage treasury activities including daily cash positioning.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Collaborate with leadership on financial strategy and special projects.
• Lead and mentor accounting staff.
