New Charter, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage the financial accounting function across multiple operating companies. You will lead the month-end close, prepare journal entries, perform GL reconciliations, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to explain variances to forecasts.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 5–7+ years of accounting experience, and strong GAAP knowledge.

Formación

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA preferred.
5-7+ years of accounting experience.
Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Ability to lead teams and manage multiple timelines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

Own full-cycle accounting and month-end close for multiple Operating Companies.
Prepare/Review journal entries for AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany, accruals.
Reconcile general ledger accounts per Corporate Policies.
Explain variances to forecast and budget with Management.
Lead a team of accountants, providing guidance and career development.
Ensure procedures conform to GAAP and Corporate Policies; support year-end audit.
Champion adoption of new accounting software and tools.
