Job summary

Privia Health seeks an experienced Assistant Controller to scale financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and lead ERP transformation. The role supervises a remote team, guides SEC-ready reporting, and partners with FP&A on budgets and variances.

The ideal candidate combines public accounting and public company experience, with U.S. GAAP and SOX mastery, and effective cross-functional communication with executives and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA certification are required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and public company settings.
• Healthcare/health-tech experience is preferred; strong GAAP and SOX knowledge.
• Experience leading remote accounting teams and coordinating audits.

Responsibilities

• Direct month-, quarter-, and year-end closes with GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules; support FP&A variance analyses.
• Lead M&A integrations and ERP transformation initiatives (ERP design, data migration, UAT).
• Ensure internal controls framework and SOX compliance; liaise with external auditors.
• Manage treasury operations and establish performance goals for a remote team.
