Job summary

Pennant Services is seeking an AR Supervisor to lead the accounts receivable, Medicaid and managed care billing, and revenue cycle activities across a multi-state senior living portfolio. You will drive accurate billing, timely reimbursements, and regulatory compliance, working with leadership teams to optimize outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years in healthcare revenue cycle with leadership experience and a strong understanding of Medicaid waiver programs, payer requirements, and denials

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Admin, Business Admin) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare revenue cycle, accounts receivable, Medicaid billing, or managed care billing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or team management experience.
• Experience managing Medicaid billing operations across multiple states.
• Strong knowledge of Medicaid waiver programs, managed care organizations, authorizations, eligibility processes, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Experience with claim submission, denial management, appeals, collections, and revenue recovery.
• Experience in assisted living, senior living, long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare environments preferred.
• Experience using EMR, billing, and revenue cycle platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of state assisted living regulations and healthcare reimbursement requirements.
• Ability to conduct presentations, training programs, and operational reviews at all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across a geographically diverse portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounts receivable for assigned communities and ensure timely reimbursement.
• Lead Medicaid and managed care billing across multiple states with compliance to regulations.
• Provide coaching, training, and SOPs for Medicaid and AR functions.
• Escalate and resolve denials, rejections, and reimbursement discrepancies.
• Monitor KPIs such as collections, aging, denials, and timely reimbursements.
• Collaborate with state Medicaid agencies, MCOs, case managers, and community staff.
• Support audit readiness and coordinate responses for audits.
• Maintain compliance with assisted living and HCBS waiver program requirements.
