Alignerr is seeking an Application Security Analyst (AI Training) to help secure frontier AI models. You will analyze real-world security scenarios across code, APIs and system behavior, and contribute to datasets that teach AI how to assess risk.

This hourly contract is remote, Canada-based, with 10–40 hours per week, offering flexible schedule and potential for ongoing work and extension.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on AppSec experience
• OWASP Top 10 knowledge
• Ability to think like attacker and defender
• Strong written security reasoning

Responsibilities

• Analyze real-world application security scenarios across code, APIs, and systems
• Classify and assess vulnerabilities including authentication, injections, access control, and logic bugs
• Evaluate secure coding practices and remediation quality
• Create and validate security-focused datasets for AI risk assessment
• Explain reasoning clearly by distinguishing exploitability vs low risk
