Alignerr is seeking an Application Security Analyst (AI Training) to help secure frontier AI models. You will analyze real-world security scenarios across code, APIs and system behavior, and contribute to datasets that teach AI how to assess risk.

This hourly contract is remote, Canada-based, with 10–40 hours per week, offering flexible schedule and potential for ongoing work and extension.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze real-world application security scenarios across code, APIs, and system behavior
• Classify and assess vulnerabilities including authentication flaws, injection risks, access control issues, and business logic bugs
• Evaluate secure coding practices and the quality of proposed remediation strategies
• Create and validate security-focused reasoning datasets that teach AI how to assess and prioritize application risk accurately
• Distinguish genuine exploitability from theoretical or low-impact risk — and explain your reasoning clearly

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in application security, product security, or software security engineering
• Solid working knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and common production vulnerabilities
• Able to think like both an attacker and a defender — you know what actually matters in a real environment
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to structure and explain security reasoning clearly
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently on async, task‑based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience with penetration testing, threat modeling, or secure code review
• Familiarity with bug bounty programs or vulnerability disclosure processes
• Background in DevSecOps or security tooling integration
