Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a part-time, PRN Scheduling Specialist for fully remote work across the United States. You will pre-register patients, schedule appointments and procedures, transcribe orders, and manage high call volumes across multiple locations and departments.

You will input and verify patient data, explain benefits, and support a compassionate patient experience while mentoring new staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent OR (4) years of revenue cycle experience.
• Minimum of (2) years of revenue cycle experience and/or (2) years of contact center experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and pre-register patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other department appointments.
• Complete administrative work that goes along with scheduling an appointment.
• Transcribe external orders from physicians.
• Handle high call volumes for multiple locations and departments.
• Utilize multiple systems to perform scheduling functions.
• Provide patients with preparation and location information.
• Input patient data into the system accurately and completely.
• Validate patient insurance and explain benefits as needed.
• Manage multiple phone calls including transfer and conferencing.
• Mentor new hires as needed.
• Support Intermountain Health's mission, vision, and values.
