Chart Industries, a leader in cryogenic equipment, seeks an Applications Engineer to act as the primary technical resource for the field sales force. You will drive technical and commercial evaluation from inquiry to order, advise on proposals for centrifugal equipment, and partner with sales, design engineering, and operations to secure opportunities.

You will review customer specs, perform calculations, and lead proposal discussions while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualificações

• BS in Engineering or another related field.
• Experience in centrifugal air/gas turbo-expander/turbo-compressor / turboexpander-gear-generator or other rotating equipment
• At least three (3) years of experience in bidding/proposal preparation for engineered equipment or systems and the ability to read and understand bid/proposal specifications, both from a technical perspective and commercial perspective, as related to Contractual Terms and Conditions
• Competent in reading technical drawings including P&IDs
• Experience with API & ASME codes
• Expertise in Gas Dynamics / Auxiliary System Design / Control & Electrical or Mechanical Design a big plus
• Knowledge of computer software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project
• Experience in the Oil & Gas, Air Separation and Power Generation required
• Experience in Risk Assessment analysis a plus
• Strong communication skills to interface with internal personnel and external customers
• Self starter who can work independently without close supervision

Responsabilidades

• Review customer specifications and develop proposals for centrifugal equipment to win new and repeat business.
• Rationalize requirements outside standard scope/design to meet specs.
• Perform calculations and product selections to meet process needs.
• Lead technical and commercial proposal discussions with customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate internal proposal process across functions to account for costs, resources, and schedules.
• Support KPIs such as bookings value and proposal pipeline.
• Promote safety and develop product knowledge.
• Provide design and specification support to consultants and distributors.
• Respond to RFIs/RFPs and convey customer requirements.
• Train sales personnel and engineers at targeted accounts.
• Assist in new product/tool development to support sales.
• Maintain records in Salesforce and other databases.
• Identify customer needs and growth opportunities.
