Job summary

Chart Industries, a leader in cryogenic equipment, is seeking an Applications Engineer to guide technical and commercial evaluations from inquiry to order. You will review customer specs, develop competitive proposals, and coordinate across sales, engineering, and operations.

This role supports remote work from the United States and requires strong proposal and communication skills. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering with 3+ years of bidding/proposal experience, familiarity with

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or related field.
3+ years bidding/proposal experience for engineered equipment or systems.
Ability to read technical drawings including P&IDs.
Experience with API & ASME codes.
Knowledge of Gas Dynamics / Auxiliary System Design / Control & Electrical or Mechanical Design a big plus.
Experience in Oil & Gas, Air Separation and Power Generation required.
Strong communication skills to interface with internal personnel and external customers.
Self-starter who can work independently without close supervision.

Responsibilities

Receive and review customer specs for technical and commercial requirements.
Develop and align proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders, turbo-compressors and related services.
Perform technical review and align design with specified requirements.
Lead technical and commercial proposal discussions with customers.
Drive internal proposal process across multiple internal teams.
Ensure proposals account for internal costs, resources and scheduling.
