Job summary
Chart Industries, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to drive technical and commercial evaluation from inquiry to order for centrifugal turbo-expander equipment.
You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations to craft competitive proposals and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. Responsibilities include reviewing customer specifications, leading proposal discussions, and guiding design concepts while maintaining internal documentation and pricing
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or related field required.
- Experience bidding/proposal for engineered equipment or systems.
- Ability to read and understand bid/proposal specs (technical and commercial).
- Competence with technical drawings including P&IDs.
- Experience with API and ASME codes.
- Knowledge of Gas Dynamics / Engineering Design a plus.
- Strong communication with internal/external customers.
Responsibilities
- Receive and review customer specifications for technical and commercial requirements for new equipment projects.
- Develop and align proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders, turbo-compressors, and related equipment to secure new and repeat business.
- Perform technical reviews of customer/project specs and adapt designs outside standard scope to meet specs.
- Perform calculations and product selections to meet process needs.
- Lead technical and commercial proposal design concept meetings with customers.
- Manage internal proposal process across teams to ensure complete cost, scheduling, and compliance.
- Maintain records in Salesforce and internal databases.
