Job summary
Chart Industries is seeking an Applications Engineer to be the primary technical resource for the field sales force. You will review customer specifications, develop competitive technical and commercial proposals, and guide the design concepts from concept through order.
The role requires hands-on capability with turbomachinery, strong communication, and collaboration with engineering, sales, and service teams.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or related field.
- At least three years bidding/proposal experience for engineered equipment/systems.
- Experience reading technical drawings including P&IDs.
- Experience with API & ASME codes.
- Gas Dynamics / Auxiliary System Design knowledge a plus.
Responsibilities
- Review customer specifications and develop proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders, turbo-compressors, and related equipment to secure new and repeat business.
- Perform technical reviews of specifications and ensure designs meet agreed requirements.
- Lead internal proposal process with cross-functional teams to align costs, schedule, and legal needs.
- Provide design/technical support and respond to RFIs/RFPs with customers.
