Job summary
Chart Industries is seeking an Applications Engineer to serve as the primary technical resource for the field sales force and to actively drive the technical and commercial evaluation of inquiries through to order.
You will review customer requirements, perform calculations, and coordinate with sales and engineering to develop competitive proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders, turbo-compressors, and related equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or related field
- 3+ years bidding/proposal experience for engineered equipment or systems
- Reading technical drawings including P&IDs
- Experience with API & ASME codes
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas, Air Separation and Power Generation
Responsibilities
- Receive and review customer specifications for technical and commercial requirements for new equipment projects.
- Perform technical review of customer specifications and ensure proposals meet specifications.
- Lead internal proposal process and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Provide design and specification development support to consultants, integrators, and distributors.
- Respond to RFIs/RFPs and communicate customer requirements.
