Job summary

Chart Industries, a leader in cryogenic equipment, seeks an Applications Engineer to be the primary technical resource for the field sales force. You will evaluate inquiries, coordinate with sales and engineering, and provide reliable technical and commercial solutions across the order process.

You will review customer specs, develop proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders and related services, and lead internal processes to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• Three years of bidding/proposal experience for engineered equipment or systems.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications for technical and commercial requirements for new equipment projects and align proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders, turbo-compressors, and related equipment to generate competitive proposals.
• Perform technical review of customer/project specifications and rationalize requirements outside standard scope to meet specifications.
• Perform calculations and product selections to meet the customer’s process needs.
• Lead technical and commercial proposal discussions with the customer to steer acceptance of proposed solutions.
• Lead internal proposal process across teams to ensure proposals account for internal costs, scheduling, and legal needs.
• Accountable for applications engineering and sales activities to meet KPIs such as bookings value and proposal pipeline.
• Promote safety procedures and develop expert product knowledge.
• Articulate technology and product positioning to business and technical users.
