Job summary

Chart Industries is seeking an Applications Engineer to support field sales with technical and commercial evaluations from inquiry to order, focusing on centrifugal turbo-expanders, turbo-compressors, and related equipment.

You will collaborate with sales and engineering to develop proposals, review specifications, and ensure customer satisfaction through all sales phases. A BS in engineering and hands-on design experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or another related field.
• Experience in bidding/proposal preparation for engineered equipment or systems.
• Competent in reading technical drawings including P&IDs.
• Experience with API & ASME codes.
• Strong communication skills to interface with internal personnel and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review customer specifications for technical and commercial requirements for new equipment projects.
• Develop proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders, turbo-compressors, and related equipment to secure new and repeat business.
• Perform technical review of customer/project specs and rationalize requirements outside standard scope.
• Lead proposal process and coordinate internal teams to ensure complete proposals.
• Accountable for performing applications engineering and sales activities to meet KPIs.
• Promote safety procedures and Develop product knowledge and application.
• Articulate technology and product positioning to business and technical users.
• Provide design and specification development support to consultants, integrators, and distributors.
• Respond to RFIs/RFPs and communicate customer requirements.
