Job summary

Chart Industries seeks an Applications Engineer to support field sales from a remote home-office setup in the United States. You’ll act as a primary technical resource, driving and evaluating inquiries to orders, proposing centrifugal turbo-expander and related equipment solutions while collaborating with sales and engineering teams.

You’ll review customer specs, perform calculations, and lead technical and commercial discussions to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes in

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• Experience with centrifugal air/gas turbo-expander/turbo-compressor equipment.
• At least three years bidding/proposal experience for engineered equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings including P&IDs; familiarity with API & ASME codes.
• Strong communication skills and self-starter who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review customer specifications for technical and commercial requirements for new equipment projects and develop proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders and related equipment.
• Perform technical review of customer specifications and align proposals to meet agreed-upon requirements.
• Conduct calculations and product selections to meet the customer’s process needs.
• Collaborate with Commercial/Sales to communicate and refine design concepts with customers.
• Lead internal proposal processes with sales, engineering, project management, and supply chain.
• Ensure proposals account for internal costs, resources, scheduling, and legal needs.
• Develop expert product knowledge and articulate technology to business and technical users.
• Maintain records of opportunities, quotes, and projects in approved databases.
