Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking an Appian Developer to design, develop, and deliver mission-critical applications on the Appian platform. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Appian, strong SQL skills, and experience working in Agile and SAFe environments.

This is a remote role with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. U.S. citizenship and federal contract eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of professional experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Appian development experience (v17.x or higher).
• Proficiency in SQL, Relational Databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure complex enterprise applications using Appian components (SAIL, Process Models, Records, Reports, Web APIs).
• Design and implement secure integrations using RESTful APIs and authentication patterns.
• Perform SQL data modeling and database design.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Appian applications for performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Familiarity with Appian AI and AI/ML integrations.
