Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Appian Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate has strong Appian platform expertise, SQL skills, and thrives in Agile/SAFe environments.

The role is remote and requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years Appian experience are expected, with at least 5 years overall IT experience.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required due to Federal contract.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of professional IT experience.
• 3+ years hands-on Appian development experience (v17.x or higher).
• Proficiency in SQL and Relational Databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure complex enterprise applications using Appian components (SAIL, Process Models, Records, Reports, Web APIs).
• Design and implement secure integrations using RESTful APIs and authentication patterns.
• Perform SQL data modeling and database design.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Appian applications for performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• AI & Automation: familiarity with AI technologies, AI/ML/LLM integration, and Appian AI.
