Job summary

Maximus is seeking an experienced Appian Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade applications. The role requires deep Appian expertise, strong SQL skills, and comfort working in Agile and SAFe environments.

This is a remote position with the possibility to support U.S. federal contracts. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required; a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5 years of professional experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Appian development (v17.x+).
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure enterprise Appian applications (SAIL, Process Models, Records, Reports, Web APIs).
• Design secure integrations using RESTful APIs and authentication patterns.
• Perform SQL data modeling and database design.
• Troubleshoot and optimize Appian applications for performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Exposure to AI/Automation and Appian AI capabilities is a plus.
