The role emphasizes collaboration with Appian Architects, Agile delivery, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on Appian experience (version 24.x or higher).
• DoD Secret level security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Strong understanding of BPMN and process‑improvement methodologies.
• Experience working on Appian or other BPM/low‑code platform projects.
• Ability to create clear and detailed requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Analyze and document business processes using BPMN standards.
• Identify process inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for automation using Appian's capabilities.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Appian Architects and Developers to design workflows, data models, and user interfaces.
• Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint planning, and clarification of requirements.
• Assist in creating test cases and scenarios; support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and comply with organizational standards.
• Analyze and ensure business processes and integration points align with PeopleSoft Modules and Appian workflow.
• Run workshops and working sessions to drive clarity and consensus for functional and technical requirements from stakeholders.
• Produce Process maps, user stories, functional specifications and technical guides in document repositories with acceptable governance.
