Job summary

CFS is seeking an experienced AP Staff Accountant for a fully remote, fast-paced environment. You will process vendor invoices, ensure accurate payments, and support ERP implementations across multiple units.

The role offers exposure to process improvements and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in AP or bookkeeping, strong detail orientation, and proficiency with Excel; experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience processing invoices and managing vendor relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions when needed.
• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or ERP systems preferred.
• General ledger or account reconciliation experience is a plus.
• Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment processing
• Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable activities across multiple business units
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding invoice and payment inquiries
• Assist with account reconciliations and general accounting support
• Review accounting data for accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Support payroll-related projects and data validation efforts
• Assist with onboarding new entities into accounting systems and processes
• Support ERP and system implementation initiatives, including testing and data validation
• Collaborate with accounting leadership on process improvements and special projects
• Assist with month-end accounting activities as responsibilities expand
