Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking an A/P Specialist to join our accounting and finance team. You will manage the full-cycle AP process, ensuring accurate GL coding in Sage Intacct, vendor reconciliations, and timely month-end close. This remote-first role supports procurement tooling, audits, and policy compliance across our national footprint.

You will collaborate with employees and vendors, handle expense reports, and seek efficiency improvements while maintaining accuracy and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of full-cycle AP experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of AP principles and general accounting practices.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP preferred.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; organized and multitask.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle AP, monitor AP inbox and enter invoices in Sage Intacct with accurate GL coding.
• Match invoices to POs and receiving docs with proper approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Communicate AP-related questions with employees, vendors and internal teams.
• Reconcile AP GL accounts and assist month-end close.
• Review and process employee expense reports and corporate card transactions.
• Serve as the point person for procurement tool, including user support and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
• Assist with audit requests and provide AP documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency.
