Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking an A/P Specialist to join our accounting and finance team. This role manages full-cycle accounts payable, processes invoices in Sage Intacct, and ensures accurate GL coding from the PO and receiving docs.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of AP experience, strong Excel and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote-first environment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of full-cycle AP experience; bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of AP principles and general accounting practices.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with an ERP system such as Sage Intacct preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and multitasking ability.
• Ability to work independently on deliverables to achieve accurate results.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle AP, monitor inbox, and enter invoices in Sage Intacct with accurate GL coding.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation with proper approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies timely.
• Communicate with employees, vendors, and internal departments about AP questions.
• Reconcile APGL accounts and assist with month-end close activities.
• Review expense reports and corporate card transactions.
• Serve as the point person for our procurement tool, including user support and workflow maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
• Assist with audit requests and provide AP documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency.
