Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking an A/P Specialist to join our accounting and finance team. You will own full-cycle AP in Sage Intacct, ensure proper approvals, and support month-end close.

You will match invoices to POs, reconcile vendor statements, and process employee expense reports while driving process improvements. This remote-first role offers flexibility and national reach within our growing organization.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of full-cycle AP experience; bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of AP principles and general accounting practices.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with Sage Intacct ERP.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and multitasking ability.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle AP in Sage Intacct with accurate GL coding.
• Match invoices to POs and receiving docs with proper approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Communicate AP questions with employees, vendors, and internal teams.
• Reconcile AP GL accounts and assist month-end close activities.
• Process employee expense reports and corporate card transactions.
• Serve as the point person for procurement tool and approvals workflow.
• Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
• Assist with audit requests and provide AP documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency.
