Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a remote Model Risk Advisor. The role focuses on governing AI governance practices, maintaining model inventories, and ensuring compliance with evolving AI standards.

You will lead governance initiatives, collaborate with risk and audit teams, and drive improvements in governance controls and reporting. The position supports a remote-first culture, with flexibility to engage across multiple home-based locations in the United States, excluding Hawaii and Alaska.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in model risk management, risk or audit.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, information management, data science or related field.
• Experience in AI model governance and risk management.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and auditing principles.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Promote AI governance policies, standards, and responsible AI practices.
• Maintain inventory of AI/ML models, ownership, risk ratings, metadata.
• Assess model risk by complexity, requirements, impact, usage.
• Implement and maintain MR frameworks, processes, controls, policies.
• Monitor governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance.
• Support model validation and testing activities; document findings.
• Participate in AI governance oversight activities including audits.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on governance and risk.
• Coordinate with internal teams, risk, auditors, and suppliers.
• Monitor evolving regulatory expectations for AI/model risk.
• Identify opportunities to automate governance processes.
• Evaluate governance tools and resolve issues.
