Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Model Risk Advisor for a remote role within the United States. You will promote AI governance, maintain model inventories, assess risks, and lead governance programs across the enterprise.

The position emphasizes collaboration with risk, audits, and policy enforcement to ensure compliance and effective controls. A strong background in AI governance and regulatory considerations is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in model risk management, risk, and audit.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or related field.
• Four years of work experience in AI model governance, model risk management, or audit.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and auditing principles.
• Knowledge of privacy, security, and AI model governance standards.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to a variety of audiences.
• Strong strategic, interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Experience deploying AI model governance across a large enterprise.
• AI governance policy, standards, controls establishment, enforcement, and monitoring.
• Bias testing and remediation knowledge for ML and GenAI.

Responsibilities

• Promote awareness and adoption of AI governance policies and standards.
• Maintain inventory of ML/AI models with ownership and risk ratings.
• Assess model risk by complexity, regulation, business impact and usage.
• Implement and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks and controls.
• Monitor model performance, governance controls, and KRIs; flag issues.
• Support model validation through scope, results, and recommendations.
• Participate in AI Model Governance oversight activities and audits.
• Develop reporting and insights for AI governance and risk.
• Collaborate with internal teams and auditors to address risks.
• Monitor regulatory expectations and incorporate into governance practices.
• Identify opportunities to automate AI governance processes.
