Job summary

SMX is seeking a Mid-Level Site Reliability Engineer to architect, automate, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure for AI/ML platforms. You will bridge MLOps and DevSecOps, delivering cloud architectures across commercial, private, hybrid, and government environments.

As a customer-facing SME, you’ll translate mission challenges into architectures, demonstrate platform capabilities, and assist with scoping during engagements. This fully remote role welcomes candidates nationwide.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Strong Kubernetes and container experience in cloud environments.
• Experience with IaC tooling (Terraform) and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect and operate high-performance cloud infrastructure for AI/ML workloads.
• Serve as technical SME in client engagements and scoping.
• Build secure CI/CD pipelines with container scanning and logging.
• Monitor platform performance and participate in on-call rotation.
