Job summary

SMX seeks a Mid-Level Site Reliability Engineer to architect, automate, and operate high-performance cloud infrastructure for AI/ML platforms. You will bridge MLOps and DevSecOps, deploying scalable cloud architectures that support compute-intensive workloads for enterprise and public-sector clients in a fully remote role across the United States.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Strong Kubernetes operations and container security knowledge.
• Experience with cloud IaC and Git-based workflows.
• Excellent communication with customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operate high-performance AI/ML cloud infrastructure.
• Act as SME for client engagements and support architectural scoping.
• Champion Terraform and GitOps with security guardrails from day one.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with scan, audit logs, and on-call participation.
• Produce runbooks and reference architectures for handoffs.
