Job summary

SMX is seeking a Mid-Level Site Reliability Engineer to architect, automate, and operate high-performance cloud infrastructure for AI/ML platforms. You will bridge MLOps and DevSecOps across multiple cloud environments, serving as a Technical SME for client engagements.

This fully remote role nationwide in the United States focuses on Kubernetes clusters, IaC, CI/CD, security, monitoring, and documentation to support handoffs and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Architect, deploy, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters for AI/ML workloads.
• Consult with client stakeholders as SME, scope solutions, and articulate value of SMX platforms.
• Collaborate with delivery and account teams during technical discussions to scope and validate architectures.
• Drive infrastructure automation using Terraform and GitOps with security controls from day one.
• Build and maintain resilient CI/CD pipelines with automated container vulnerability scans and audit logging.
• Monitor platform performance, capacity, and telemetry; participate in on-call rotations and post-mortems.
• Collaborate with engineering and security to enforce network segmentation, data isolation, and encryption across pipelines.
• Produce client-ready documentation, reference architectures, and runbooks for handoffs.

Responsibilities
