Job summary

EY seeks a senior enterprise architect to lead knowledge, retrieval, and grounding capabilities for AI products and agents. You will set architecture direction, design federated memory, and ensure governance across enterprise data for trusted, scalable solutions.

This Challenger Core role requires hands‑on depth in semantic/graph technologies, strong SQL, and cross‑functional leadership to align stakeholders and drive lighthouse implementations from prototype to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 9–12+ years of relevant experience.
• Substantial experience in data, information, solution, or platform architecture including ownership of production AI, search, or knowledge systems.
• Experience delivering a shared knowledge, search, graph, or grounded‑AI capability across varied sources and boundaries.
• Practical fluency with semantic, graph, or retrieval technologies and strong SQL.
• Experience designing pipelines that connect analytical, document, event, and operational information with production controls.
• Evidence of implementing access, provenance, quality, and lifecycle controls in production retrieval paths.

Responsibilities

• Set the knowledge direction and own the target architecture for AI knowledge, retrieval, and grounding capabilities.
• Design a federated memory system with durable interfaces and lifecycle management.
• Translate business questions with domain experts to define concepts, relationships, and boundaries for AI interpretation.
• Engineer reusable ingestion patterns preserving authority, lineage, and uncertainty.
• Build effective retrieval using search, semantic, graph, and structured methods with clear trade‑offs.
• Ensure context includes citations, provenance, and evaluation hooks for trustworthiness.
• Partner with security, privacy, records, and legal teams to enforce access and retention policies.
• Lead lighthouse implementations from prototype to production to prove scale.
