Job summary

ABB is seeking an Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services (ELSE) to lead the U.S. AE organization in support of Commercial Operations and Sales.

You will drive customer-focused technical solutions, deliver high-quality SOWs and JCEs, and build a high-performing team across multiple engineering disciplines. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience (Electrical Engineering preferred), 25% US travel, and strong leadership in proposal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required and 12+ years relevant work experience.
• Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% within the US.
• 7+ years in application or field engineering in power delivery, with 5+ years with customers in key sectors.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams.
• Experience with proposal development, SOW creation, job costing, and commercial operations processes.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Application Engineering team.
• Provide technical leadership and customer solution support across the ELSE portfolio.
• Drive proposal excellence and improve ITO/writing of SOWs and JCEs.
• Standardize and continuously improve engineering processes and capabilities.
