Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Strategic ACO Contract Manager in the United States to lead complex contract negotiations and manage provider relationships. The role covers the full contract lifecycle from negotiation to renewals, with focus on value-based arrangements and risk-based contracting.

The ideal candidate has extensive healthcare contracting experience, strong financial acumen, and excellent relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least eight years of related work experience beyond the degree, with a strong background in healthcare contracting, provider relations, or health plan operations.
• Contract negotiation expertise with healthcare service and provider contracts, including value-based methodologies and ACO arrangements.
• Healthcare industry knowledge in health plan operations or related environments.
• Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills for evaluating complex contracts.
• Ability to interpret and assess legal documents and complex agreement structures.
• Proven ability to build collaborative external relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinking to evaluate scenarios, anticipate challenges, and propose contracting solutions.
• Adaptability to craft terms addressing changing business needs.
• Remote work eligibility within eligible states.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft, and evaluate provider contracts aligning with financial objectives and guidelines.
• Oversee contract lifecycle from initiation through renewal and closure, tracking deadlines.
• Maintain contract language, fee schedules, and reimbursement terms with policy changes.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and senior contracting representatives.
• Address provider concerns and resolve contractual disputes to sustain partnerships.
• Evaluate provider and network performance to identify cost and quality improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to provider recruitment, network development, and marketing activities.
• Develop and negotiate innovative value-based contracting arrangements, including ACO models.
• Analyze complex financial arrangements and risk-based contracts for viable solutions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts support priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties to support network management and contracting objectives.
