Job summary

Connections Health Solutions seeks an Accounts Resolution Specialist to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement for behavioral health crisis care. The role requires experience with insurance follow‑up, denial management, and physician/facility billing.

You will use WAYSTAR and Avatar to submit appeals, document actions, and prioritize work to reduce A/R. This fully remote position demands about 2–5 years in behavioral health billing and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team.

Qualifications

• Two years of insurance claims follow-up experience.
• Two years of claim denial management experience.
• Five years in a physician and/or facility business office.
• One year of remote-working experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in health care or related field.
• Five years of physician/facility billing or auditing in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on required daily accounts to reduce accounts receivable.
• Validate denied claims and prepare denials for appeal using WAYSTAR.
• Prioritize work to increase collections efficiency.
• Document actions in Avatar and WAYSTAR with standardized notes.
• Assist billing with dispositions of incoming mail and correspondence.
