Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking an Accounts Resolution Specialist to secure timely payments by following up with insurers, validating denials, and guiding appeals. This fully remote role supports the organization’s financial health and requires experience with medical billing and customer service across payer interactions.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years in physician/facility billing offices, remote work experience, and familiarity with WAYSTAR and Avatar.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
• 2 years of insurance claims follow-up.
• 2 years of claim denial management.
• 5 years of experience within a physician and/or facility business office.
• 1 year of experience working in a remote environment.
• Must comply with vaccination policy and flu shot requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on daily accounts to reduce A/R as assigned by leadership.
• Validate denied claims and determine appropriate resolution (authorization/retro authorization/precert).
• Use WAYSTAR to submit appeal letters and required payer documentation.
• Prioritize work to improve collections efficiency.
• Document actions in Avatar and WAYSTAR with standardized notes.
• Meet productivity requirements and communicate opportunities to leadership (SBAR).
• Follow CHS leadership chain and participate in AR reduction initiatives.
• Troubleshoot issues and assist billing with responses to inquiries.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
