Job summary

Connections Health Solutions seeks an Accounts Resolution Specialist to ensure accurate billing and timely reimbursement. You will follow up on denials, determine denial resolutions, and submit appeals using WAYSTAR and Avatar, communicating clearly with insurers and providers.

This is a fully remote role nationwide (including IL) requiring strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a busy healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of insurance claims follow-up.
• 2 years of claim denial management.
• 5 years of experience within a physician and/or facility business office.
• 1 year of experience working in a remote environment.
• Vaccination/mask policy compliance as applicable by company policy.
• Bachelor’s degree in health care or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follows up on required daily accounts to reduce A/R.
• Validates denied claims and determines denial resolution including authorizations.
• Uses WAYSTAR to submit appeal letters and payer documentation.
• Prioritizes work to improve collections efficiency.
• Documents actions in Avatar and WAYSTAR with standard notes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
