Job summary

Connections Health Solutions seeks an Accounts Resolution Specialist to support our crisis-care billing operations remotely in eligible U.S. states. The role entails validating denials, submitting appeals with WAYSTAR, and documenting actions in Avatar.

Ideal candidates have a background in physician/facility billing within behavioral health and several years of remote work. Full-time positions include comprehensive health benefits, life and disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
• Approximately 2 years in insurance claims follow-up.
• Approximately 2 years of claim denial management.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in a physician or facility business office.
• Approximately 1 year of remote work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in health care or related field preferred.
• Approximately 5 years of physician and/or facility billing/auditing in a behavioral health environment.

Responsibilities

• Follows up on required daily accounts to reduce the AR.
• Validates denied claims and determines appropriate denial resolution, including using WAYSTAR for appeals.
• Prioritizes work to increase efficiency in the collections process.
• Documents actions in Avatar and WAYSTAR using standard notes.
• Assists billing with determining disposition of or replies to incoming mail and other correspondence.
