Job summary

Alchemy is seeking a remote Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Finance team. You will own daily AP activities, coding invoices, processing payments, and vendor support across Zip, NetSuite, and Ramp.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you’ll help strengthen processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely, accurate payables while maintaining clear communication with vendors and internal teams. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting operations.
• Solid understanding of invoice coding, purchase orders, payment terms, and basic accrual accounting.
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems and the ability to learn new P2P, payment, and AI tools.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and data reconciliation.
• Clear, practical communication and a collaborative approach with vendors and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage the AP inbox and promptly process invoices and requests, acting as the primary vendor contact.
• Code, classify, and enter vendor invoices in Zip and NetSuite with proper approvals and PO matching.
• Prepare payment batches, monitor deadlines, and follow up on approvals or missing information.
• Maintain vendor records, tax forms, addresses, payment terms, and verified banking information.
• Reconcile AP with the general ledger, support month-end close, and assist with accruals.
