Job summary

Charter Impact, a remote-first organization, is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate who will deliver front line support to clients via multiple channels and manage invoices, GL coding, vendor setup, and weekly payments. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and teamwork within a nonprofit-facing environment.

The position is remote to candidates nationwide, with a base hourly rate and a discretionary annual bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, public administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Accounts payable experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of financial record-keeping and basic accrual accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable duties with accuracy and timeliness to maintain positive vendor relations.
• Verify invoices are approved by proper client personnel and manage cash availability.
• Process weekly check runs and maintain vendor files and GL coding.
• Produce AP aging reports and weekly check registers for clients.
• Maintain recurring payments schedules and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Assist in year-end audit schedules and special projects.
