Job summary

Confidential is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to own the day-to-day accounting function and strengthen financial processes in a lean, remote environment. This working manager role requires initiative, urgency, proactive communication, and independent problem solving.

The role covers month-end close, financial reporting, cash flow management, and cross-functional collaboration, with oversight of one overseas team member. Immediate start and full-time remote work are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of transactional accounting, close, and day-to-day operations.
• Experience in a small or mid-sized org with broad accounting responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, GL, reconciliations, and cash flow management.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close with journals, reconciliations, accruals, and schedules.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate timely recording of transactions.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Oversee day-to-day transactional accounting (AP/AR).
• Investigate and resolve billing, collections, vendor payments, and account discrepancies.
