Job summary

Elevate and Delegate is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to own client accounting end-to-end and to lead a developing accounting team. You will manage bookkeeping and tax-related work for clients, then supervise junior staff, review work, and streamline processes as the firm scales.

The role blends hands-on accounting with leadership, offering remote work from the United States and opportunities to grow into a larger leadership position within a boutique firm.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in public accounting or client accounting
• Experience with Drake Tax, TaxDome and QuickBooks Online
• Strong bookkeeping fundamentals
• Experience preparing business and/or individual tax returns
• Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously
• Excellent written and spoken English
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Experience managing remote teams

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping for multiple client accounts
• Perform monthly reconciliations and close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements
• Maintain accurate general ledger records
• Ensure high-quality client deliverables
• Prepare and review business and individual tax returns
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff
• Improve workflows, documentation, and quality control
• Help build and scale the accounting team over time
• Serve as the first point of escalation for accounting questions
• Communicate professionally with clients
• Meet deadlines across multiple engagements
• Deliver consistent, accurate work with minimal supervision
