Job summary

Lumalight, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and support monthly and annual reporting. This role reports to the Controller and will mentor a small accounting team while driving process improvements across the organization.

The position is remote within Lumelight-approved states and involves close collaboration with finance and operations to maintain strong internal controls and accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Preferred CPA or CPA-track.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Public accounting or audit experience.
• Experience supporting a multi-state or professional services organization.

Responsibilities

• Records/approves accounting transactions within GAAP guidelines.
• Reviews balance sheet account reconciliations and provides feedback for corrections.
• Reconciles and analyzes balance sheet accounts; posts adjustments as needed.
• Serves as resource and subject matter expert to internal and external customers.
• Posts and reviews journal entries as required.
• Participates in updating policies and procedures for finance and accounting.
• Manage and delegate tasks to the Staff Accountant.
• Assist the Controller and CFO in identifying and mitigating organizational risk.
• Assist with the annual audit, tax returns and other compliance tasks.
• Continually documents processes and recommends improvements for all assigned duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
