Job summary

Lumelight is hiring an Accounting Manager for its Finance and Accounting team. The role oversees day-to-day accounting, ensures GAAP compliance, and drives accurate monthly and annual reporting. It includes mentoring a small team, improving controls, and supporting audits and tax compliance.

The position is remote within Lumelight-approved states, with standard M-F hours and a focus on operational excellence and financial integrity.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge ensuring accuracy in daily transactions.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Ability to lead and mentor a small accounting team to achieve goals.
• Experience in multi-state or professional services environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Public accounting or audit experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Records/approves transactions per GAAP guidelines.
• Reviews balance sheet reconciliations and analyzes issues.
• Updates finance and accounting policies and procedures.
• Leads the Staff Accountant and delegates tasks.
• Supports Controller/CFO in risk identification and mitigation.
• Assists with annual audits, tax returns, and compliance tasks.
• Documents processes and drives continuous improvement.
