Lumelight is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the finance and accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. The role focuses on GAAP compliance, close processes, and mentorship within a remote work setup across approved Lumelight states.

The ideal candidate will bring technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset to improve processes and support strategic decision-making for the organization.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Public accounting or audit experience.
• Experience supporting a multi-state or professional services organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Manage month-end close process and provide financial reporting support.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Develop and mentor a small accounting team; implement process improvements.
• Assist with annual audits, tax returns and other compliance duties.
• Maintain internal controls and document accounting procedures.
