Job summary

Lumelight is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and support monthly and annual reporting. The role provides leadership to a small accounting team and partners with the Controller and CFO to strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, proficiency with NetSuite and Excel, and CPA CPA-track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Preferred CPA or CPA-track.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Public accounting or audit experience.
• Experience supporting a multi-state or professional services organization.

Responsibilities

• Records and approves accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP.
• Reviews balance sheet reconciliations and guides corrections.
• Reconciles and analyzes balance sheet accounts and posts adjustments.
• Serves as SME for internal and external accounting inquiries.
• Posts and reviews journal entries as required.
• Updates policies and procedures related to finance and accounting.
• Manage and delegate tasks to Staff Accountant.
• Assist the Controller and CFO in risk mitigation.
• Assist with annual audit, tax returns, and other compliance tasks.
• Document processes and drive improvements.
