Job summary

Lumelight is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations within a remote capacity for approved Lumelight states. The role reports to the Controller and supports monthly and annual close, GAAP compliance, and internal controls.

You will mentor a small staff and partner with the CFO on risk management and audits. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and hands-on NetSuite experience to drive accurate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Records/approves accounting transactions within GAAP guidelines.
• Reviews balance sheet account reconciliations and posts adjustments.
• Serves as a resource to internal/external customers on requests.
• Posts and reviews journal entries as required.
• Participates in updating finance/accounting policies and procedures.
• Manages and delegates tasks to Staff Accountant.
• Assists Controller and CFO in risk mitigation.
• Assists with annual audit and tax returns tasks.
• Documents processes and recommends improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
