Guidant Financial offers a fully remote opportunity to join our Retirement Plan Operations team. You will learn the end-to-end process of administering, testing and reporting 401(k) plans, with accelerated training and practical experience to grow from document review to plan administration.

You'll review client-submitted documents, keep clients updated, and help with year-end filings including IRS Form 5500.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing as daily responsibilities.
• 1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k)/IRA) is preferred.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or finance or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, IRS/DOL regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information to prepare annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Use administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make reminder calls and send emails during the plan year.
• Prepare 401(k) filings including IRS Form 5500 with filing software.
• Educate clients about retirement plan administration.
