Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn the full process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans in a fully remote role. You will review documents, keep clients updated, and help with year-end government filings, including Form 5500.

The position emphasizes accelerated learning, hands-on training, and growth within a supportive, ESOP-adjacent culture, with emphasis on accuracy and client service.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing in back-office finance is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook is expected.
• Familiarity with 401(k) or IRA administration and year-end reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Prepare 401(k) filings and year-end reporting (IRS Form 5500).
• Educate clients on plan administration and documents.
