Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to join our fully remote team. You will learn the end-to-end process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans, with accelerated training and hands-on experience.

You will review client documents, keep clients updated, and help with year-end filings including Form 5500. The role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and collaboration in a growing ESOP company.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of adjacent back‑office financial operations experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with 401(k) or IRA administration preferred.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or finance preferred.
• Knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, IRS/DOL regulations preferred.
• Experience with reconciliation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information to prepare annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Prepare required 401(k) filings (e.g., IRS Form 5500).
• Educate clients regarding 401(k) plan administration.
