Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to support the administration and reporting of 401(k) plans from a fully remote setup. You will review client documents, perform testing and reporting, and help prepare year-end filings such as Form 5500.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years in adjacent back-office financial operations such as benefits administration, money movement, or compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA) preferred.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business/finance or equivalent experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure and IRS/DOL regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare annual reporting.
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Use administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make reminder calls and emails to clients during the plan year reporting process.
• Prepare 401(k) government filings, including IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
